Scream and shout

I still can’t figure this thing called life
Out.
So
I shout.
Words of blue and green and everything else that lives between
As I remember all the pain that drove me to that day
The prickling wounds that may never remove
the crazy pain that caused all greens and blues
Scream out loud
the colors of Red and orange
I throw out all the anger that comes from that dark and heart hindering day
The constant repeating and mistreating that drove me away
From the kid… that needed to stay…
YELL AND POUT
Just the color black
Mixing well all the screaming and shouts
Realizing that this isn’t what life is really about
But yet it is who I am
Yet it is how
I
AM!
With anger and angst.
But with one final look
When I felt there was no hope left to spare
This child of colors who
Was just fighting for air
I see sparks of yellow
Fighting for light
Begging for a chance to be the focus in my life
that somehow gives me
A kid with so much pain and so little strength
A song worth singing too.

I hope people remember that while we are screaming and shouting all the terrible colors that are caused by others, that there is a yellow light some where inside waiting to be sung about.

I really like the way you structured this poem with key words on the next line to add emphasis.

I also enjoyed your use of synesthesia by using colors to represent feelings.

Well done!
