Missing You
Get all ready in a fancy dress,
Walk in the house with a feeling of distress,
All worried about what I’ll see,
Never knowing who you want to be,
I see you holding hands with her,
And I never was so sure,
I grew silent as I watched you two,
Feeling like I want a hug from you,
I follow everyone down the stairs,
Take a seat and run a hand through my hair,
We have fun playing a game,
I found I knew everyone’s name,
Then it soon came time for you to go,
I found I mentally told you no, never wanted to let you go,
You slowly stood and gave me a hug,
I hugged you back feeling warm and snug,
Could not hide the sad feelings though as I realized I would miss you,
I knew this was so true,
I watched you walk out the door with a smile,
Soon got back into the game feeling so vile,
The rest of the party was not that eventful without you,
I realized I’ll miss you,
I hope it’s not goodbye forever,
Hopefully just a See ya later,
I’ll miss you.
