Untitled
we choke ourselves
with the vile in our lungs
coughing, hacking
spitting up lies
no pill can hide
the scent of our tongue
giving us away
everyone knows now
who we are, how we think
they define us by our breath
always judging, always lying
what are we now, but what they say
they think they spew truth
but truth tastes of ash in our throat
licking us with the fire we once were
burning us once more
with bitter regret
