I Won't Change

I'll never say I need you
And I will never say I'm scared.
I am so afraid of losing
And I am not prepared.
I am not the type of girl who sits
Watching a football game.
Not the girl at parties,
Who knows everyone's name.
I'm not going to lie to you,
Pretend I'm someone new.
Can't change my beliefs for you,
I'd rather say adieu.
But if I'm honest, I am sorry
I wish I hadn't spoken so soon.
I would change, if you needed
I would sing a different tune.
I'll never say I need you,
and I will never say I'll change.
I'm not some store-bought item
That you can just exchange.
You have to know who I am,
And who I just can't be.
I can't change who I am,
Even if you disagree.
I'm outspoken, I am loud,
I am broken, I am proud,
I am strong, and I am right,
I am wrong, you bet I fight.
I won't change that.
I won't stop inquiring.
I'm not gonna lie to you...
You're pretty d*** inspiring.
You make me question everything, and then
You make me believe, and ask again.
I don't know much of anything, but I do know.
Maybe I can't change, but you don't have to go.
Unless you want to leave.
Unless you're on your way.
I'm fine with anything,
I will be okay...
