I remember when times were good
There was no greed
There was no corruption
Everyone took care of one another
No one was left to suffer
Love was more powerful than hate

But when i open my eyes
People are dying left and right
People are trying to get by with less than nothing
Yet others have much more than they need
People are committing crimes powered solely by hate
I remember when people joined together to do good, powered solely by love
I remember when I dreamt of such things
I see that now is a time where dreams can be made into reality
Only if we can put aside our differences
And come together
In search of a better world
