Best Friend
I miss the way we used to talk endlessly for hours,
Never getting tired of each other,
And allowing ourselves to say what is on our mind.
Together we shared secrets,
Understanding each other so incredibly,
And being able to put a smile on one another's face no matter what.
I miss the laughs we had,
The cries that made us stronger,
And being able to tell you anything.
Soon enough,
The laughter turned into cries,
And a war between us arose,
As our friendship started to crumble,
Piece by piece,
I knew I was going to lose you.
And after everything I could talk to you about,
Now, I cannot even tell you the simplest thing,
Which may mean nothing to you.
But, it is that I care about you,
More than you will ever know.
And even though things have changed,
And the memories have faded,
No other friendship has come across me better than yours.
So consider this a letter unsent,
As I seal it with a tear running down my face,
I sign my name and begin to write P.S,
And the only thing left to say is that,
I miss you.
