Enshrouded in the caves of the heart
echoing silence becomes unbearably loud,
the troubled days of regret are the pounding beats
the thuds of the sadly stricken
synchronized in time with one another,
remarkable triumphs and sinful memories are sheltered in dark crevices
remembered only as hallucinations of a time come and gone,
a return back to reality, an impossibility.
