Far away but close enough,
A phone call is all it takes,
your voice, silky as velvet,
the words, simple but bitter sweet,
laughter in the background,
is that a girl I hear,
reassurance from you,
you're at a party,
sadness sinks in,
my words tumble out,
this is not going to work,
why, why, why is the reply,
well it's not having time,
never knowing where you will be,
It's driving me crazy,
you think I'm going to cool down,
that I will forgive you,
I'm done, it's over,
go and find someone new.
