The Perfect Light
Like a wolf;
Night keeping me a secret,
each star I plucked, I swallowed,
So as to steal them for my own.
Nighttime gone,
I leave a single star alone.
Too selfish,
or maybe not selfish enough,
I keep you shining.
To leave your light for myself and others.
Because some illuminations are too bright for one being,
Too powerful,
Too perfect.
Some lights are like you;
Too amazing for words.
