Lost Girl.
The anguish of her heart was unknown,
she didn't know where life was taking her.
Hardly a night went by without tears;
the only comfort she could endure.
They never saw that side of her,
always thought she was fine.
But her heart floated elsewhere,
once it was made into jagged shards;
she couldn't catch it if she tried.
She wanted things to be as they used to,
but knew it wasn't her choice.
She'd rather be zoned out than in,
not noticing a thing.
But God wouldn't tolerate such a sin.
She things she finally understands His reasons;
the motives behind His plans.
To teach her that life isn't always so simple;
that sometimes you must learn to hold on.
If you don't give up,
eventually it will treat you fair again.
And now here she sits,
back in on what she missed.
She will never be the same again,
but for sure a whole lot stronger.
