To Fly.

All you want is to escape it,
You know life tastes so much sweeter once you do.
You step up,
Spreading your wings,
Closing your eyes,
Breathing in deeply,
Once and for all,
Finally;
FLY.

The author's comments:
I was twelve years old when I wrote this piece, and I was going through a tough period in life. At the time, this was about suicide. Years later, I am older and see this piece in a different way. I see it as being more about finding the courage to get to where you need to be in life, whether it be about a relationship, dealing with friends, struggles, anything.
