look through the ashes
February 4, 2011
when the ashes fall
we all try to belong
and fail as far as we know
we enter the houses
and take lives through and through
throw a rock as far as we can
we will survive
in the mist of the time
although we may fall
although we may be fighting
although we may not make it through
although we may not be there for you in the end
we will try
we will look through the ashes, through the fire
and try
try as we might, we will all die
a nice death though, a peaceful one
a respectful one
we will try
we will look through the ashes
because we are the fire
