"It just seems silly to me that something so right and simple has to be fought for at all." – Gregory peck.

I'm screaming out your name
Kept alive by the sound of hope
I'm not living my life alone
Not again

I'm bleeding from the inside
This beating heart won't let me fall
I can't breathe - help me
My forsaken love

Can't you hear my cries
Can you not see the tears
Why won't you yell for me,
Run to me

Cradled in my arms
I cannot see
You draped in eternal light
Bound unto heaven

Flooded eyes arise
Glisten in blood stained dawn
An emerging coil
It did the deed

I lay there, you wrapped in my arms
Last breath, final peace
An then with silence undying
We fall into sweet nothingness.

This was a poem I wrote for class last year. It is based on Cleopatra VII when she died, and when her husband Mark Antony died.
