a shameless sacrifice

a lifeless dream
a shadow ripped open
coming not wanting
a home in darkness

cowering, unresponsive
held by pity
running out of excuses
beheld my sin

Upon the seeking evil
a waking of nothing
the consuming ritual
drops of blood hiss

Working, relentless
showered in sparks
a birth of tears
wasted in the smoke of epitamy

a touch of the forgotten
a kiss of death
a known story for children
all consumed by laughter

seeking secrets
only finding what is hidden
a shack for the lost
a soul for the forsaken

resting for the needy
that have no place
sleeping in cold warmth
blood for empty promises

The author's comments:
I want people to understand my pain and what i go through. They don't have to relate but understand a struggle with the powers of light and darkness. A struggle of life and love, sanctity and repentance for a sin of being consumed by darkness.
