Light the wick of my youth
Scorch my era
Add another
To end one further

Dip your fingers
Into my hot existence
And carry the remnants
Of this moment away with you

Blow elsewhere my dreams
The lustrous energy
Of time
And contort my illustration
In your blaze

Smolder my trial
To impede you
As you dwindle my youth
And melt away my verve

The author's comments:
I was comparing candles to life. Just as candles burn down, so does life. You can dip your fingers into the wax, as you can be apart of someone else's life.
