words
Stick and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.
how untrue this is.
stick and stones do break bones,
but that's physical injury and will heal.
but words,
oh terrible words,
they can pierce down to the very soul and do the most damage.
reach the brightest corners of the mind and make them go dark.
many an artist has been lost because a person said their work was no good.
many a peoples dreams turn to dust,
after just one try.
because a person said I've seen better from a fly.
so the phrase sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me,
is proven to be a lie.
and now i have but one thing left to say,
goodbye.
