Shelby's Poem
Words do an injustice to try to explain
What you have meant to me in my life
All the joyous times make the occasional pain
Seem so small, so no need for strife
Our time together has seemed so brief
But time is relative in a funny way
We’ve seen the summer, the falling leaf
And spring together after the snow days
So take this to heart, but please remember
Each day in life is a way to embrace
Those great times we’ve had together
And many more, in another time and space
For words are mere expressions of feelings from above
There is no way I could use them to describe our love
