Walking on the Sun

Walking on the sun,
Flames scorching my feet,
Pain rippling through my body,
Fear, anxiety, regrets haunting my thoughts,
No hope is left,
I shall weep again tonight, no exception from the others,
Though I try,
I cannot speak,
The pain increases,
Slowly steadily,
Every step,
I want to shrivel up and die,
For the burning to stop,
The haters gone,
I cannot die,
For I am impenetrable,
I am indestructible,
I cannot fall,
So I trudge on,
Every step a piercing burn,
Every breath a lifeless task
Full of sorrow and regret,
So I go on,
Step by step,
I go on,
I’m walking on the sun
