Music to My Ears

Tweet, tweet, chirp, chirp!
A blue jay sing the harmony of the day.
A song so soft, so sweet, so true.
Feathers that ruffle with a sweet blue.
A natural noise, full of poise

Hoot! Hoot!
A wise owl sits silently in the silver night,
The moon shines bright,
The night is ice, and is just suffice
For soaring through the sound sky,
With his low midnight cry.

Drip! Drop! Drip! Drop!
The soft trickle of the water flowing,
As the forest sky is snowing.
A doe is walking,
While her fawn is clumsily trotting,
In the slushy snow.

Wisp! Wisp!
The wind is whispering to the trees,
And the time will freeze,
The mothers protect their young,
For spring has sprung,
And the rain is sure to fall,
To nourish all,
Small and tall.

The rhythms of the earth,
With the highest note to the lowest tone,
Will relax you to sleep or chill you to the bone.
Like the splashing and washing of the tide against the hot, yellow sands,
To the moaning of the crimson tree that tall stands.

Thank you soothing melodies that lull me to sleep,
And thank you fascinating sounds of the ocean deep.
Thank you for the beauty of your natural symphony.
