A fiery day-bringer sears
Glaring a realm of that diseased
Oh, just the mention of it
Filters the eyes an ashen grey

The structured trees, the bludgeoned earth
drained of all its' fruit
Looks upon with colorless eyes
It has blood no longer for warmth

The joyful people gather about
Sand unready for salty wave
Happiness erodes to concerns core
when eyes meet of an undead

The cycle that the day-bringer brings
Only fools think to outrun
For the jesters will find gravel
leaving feet tattered and bloodied

Staggering away from cinders speechless
Fragments of self melted on dagger stone
Collapsed on the rock in waiting
For the moon to soothe the burns

The author's comments:
This is about the days of which I feel horrible. Nothing has worth, and I see all things as gray and meaningless. It all goes back to normal the next day, as a cycle.
