A glistening white glazes the land
Ice cold crystals covering the sand

A setting so bright and so pure
Time comes to a halt and ceases to blur

Snowflakes begin to fall from the sky
I forget that someday all things must die

The icy wind whips my face
It reminds me to take a slower pace

A transcending silence encloses my mind
I discover a truth I have searched to find

Overwhelming tranquility in this scene
I wonder what the words really mean

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece because i found that vividly bright landscapes covered in snow are quite peaceful and allow for higher level thinking.
