Out in the cold dark night
All alone, not a soul in sight
The icy wind begins to blow
And with it, the stinging cold of snow
A lonely man forlornly lies
Uncaring to all his worldly ties
Only a women could have cast him here
Why should he have to endure?
And so he lies, in this pit of sorrow
But how will that help him face tomorrow?
All he needs is a spark of hope
To light a fire and help him cope
So he'll wait for another love to come along
Maybe the right, maybe the wrong

Time will heal all pain
Or so they say
Maybe it's all in vain
And we are only prey
Prey of Love and of Hate
Prey of Pain and of Suffering
And prey of False Hope.
