heavy chains
digging into our necks
the weight of the world
bringing us down
drags us face first
into society's standards
we're all chained
we're all trapped
all our limitations
our fears our cries
keep us locked up
they tell us we're free
it's just a pretty lie
for even the birds
are chained to the sky
