A Dream
Young, short, and free.
Long dark hair blowing
In the cool breeze.
Only 5 years old
On an isolated swing.
She’s carefree,
And not afraid.
But this is only a dream.
A dream of what she wishes
Her childhood could be.
A childhood with freedom,
Rather than sick, painful punishments.
