The Perfect Vault
She solutes the sour judge with a smile
Takes a deep breath about to begin
She has this vault down perfect
She knows that she can win
She runs with strength and power like a tiger
BAM, goes the spring board and she flies so graceful
She twists and turns although the blind landing is fearful
The crowd was hushed
The judges pen was ready
Looking for a flaw
But the vault was smooth and steady
Her feet find the mat
Her head held high
Everyone knew she would get first
There would be no tie
You could tell she was proud
Her eyes filled with tears
As she walked to her teammates
The crowd was a sea of cheers
