I Confess MAG
I must tell the truth.
I will tell the truth.
I confess to:
flushing the toilet while
my brother was showering;
sharing his favorite foods
with my mini-dachshund;
fortuitously calculating the exact moment
he would fall asleep and then
testing the smoke detector;
“misplacing” his prized PS3 controller;
hiding my used socks in his
clean, freshly laundered pillowcase;
enjoying every moment of torment
I inflicted over the past 16 years;
missing those glorious, golden days when
annoying, bothering, and frustrating him
was possible;
wishing those days could return;
missing my brother away at college.

“Gods of Olympus.” Piper stared at Leo. “What happened to you?”
His hair was greased back. He had welding goggles on his forehead, a lipstick mark on his cheek, tattoos all over his arms, and a T-shirt that read HOT STUFF, BAD BOY, and TEAM LEO.
“Long story,” he said.”
