Winter Days
The brisk winter winds blow through my curls
As the rays of light shine upon my gleaming face
The rays warming me on the outside
But, the pure beauty of the wondrous sight warming the inside
The tears start to flow, as I think back to the life I once was living
The heartache the pain, caused by my mistakes
The sorrow caused by the death of the one most dear
The tears for the things that I cannot change
The loss of that precious little baby that was once mine
The regret of all that I now can’t change.
The tears for those who deal with me from day to day
But, I look at that pure white snow
I tell myself that I’m not perfect
We all make mistakes that we must ask forgiveness for
I try to tell myself that from day to day
But, life’s not that easy for me
