Sadness is a monster
controlling lives in the darkness
in his dreaded home
where no one dares to fall into.
His mind is controlling
dragging you in with his voice
hoping you’ll fall
into his trap.
To his advantage
the curious
the week
and the young
give into their fears
not knowing if they’ll see the light
of happiness ever again.
He has trapped them
made them his slaves
putting them to the test
to defeat the darkness.
Looking down with his beasty eyes
he stairs at his competition
hopping they’ll give into the fear
eating there soul.
Though some have battled
very few have won
so the monster continues
bringing in new comers
who enter the darkness
