Inferiority
Can you hear my tears?
Does it make you happy?
The screaming in my ears,
The sound of my own voice,
Makes me cringe,
Where is the way out?
Mascara,
Powder,
Covers up what should have never been born,
Glossed, colored
Lips,
Maybe I’ll look normal today.
Maybe I’ll
Be looked upon with gratitude,
But then maybe today,
Will be like any other.
They don’t hurt me,
Not really, but
I know the thoughts repressed would make
Any sane person scream.
Maybe I’m ugly, unfitting,
Maybe I’m a mistake.
I think I’m pretty,
But that doesn’t matter because
The only thing that will be left of me
Is the heartless
Thoughts
Of others.
