Secrets
She tilts her head
 In just the way
So her hair covers her eyes
 So no one can see

Any emotion her mask may fail to conceal
 No tear may be seen
 Wandering lone down her face
Showing any sense of feeling she has

No one can see the sparkle
 When she gets excited
 For it is quickly extinguished
 By the constant pain

 The pain she also hides
 Deep inside
So deep, she carries it everywhere
She’s held it for so long

 And she doesn’t know why
 Why she is like this
 So secretive and depressed
She hasn’t always been like this
 All she knows is

This has to stay a secret
 No one can know
 Of her world of hurt
 Ever.
