Her body is so delicate and fine
Her little nose resembles mine
Her lips like mine
Her little hands and feet like mine
her long eyelashes like mine
The freckles on her cheeks like mine

But she is not mine alone
She is her own
She'll have a blanket of her own
She'll have friends of her own
She'll have a path of her own
Eventually she'll have a life of her own

But for now she remains only with me
Until she becomes who she will be

writing this piece was difficult because i have not had a baby yet and thinking about what it would be like would never really compare to the actual feeling of having a child and feeling that love so its always a working progress i think.
