Dancing
I challenge death,
I call upon him.
He seeks me out,
And takes me home.
So I can
Open my eyes
And challenge life.
She calls to me,
A simple name
A name I have changed,
So I can be deaf to the memories.
He is death, she is life
She whispers in my ear,
Tells me her purpose.
He cradles me in his arms,
Rocks me to sleep
And gifts me with nightmares.
Death waltz with life,
Dancing like shadows on the wall.
I clap my hands in delight,
As death morphs into life.
