free fall

the sea is stormy,
it's waters rough,
you tell me its ok,
to go ahead and jump;
i freeze with indecision,
you grab my hand and say,
we'll go together,
i look up into your eyes,
how do i decide?
I take a deep breath and say,
lets jump.
we turn and jump,
leaving fear and regret,
back on the dock,
we are in a free fall,
all we can hope to do,
is not hit the rocks.
time is crawling by,
i look at you and smile,
we're almost at the end,
we're turning the bend,
who knows what we will find...
