True Feelings

I use to talk to you with anticipation,
Now I talk to you while my heart is slowly breaking.
I use to smile from ear to ear,
But now I cry from deep with…
I guard my feelings,
I guard my heart….
I know what I want, but at what cost?
I don’t want to make a sacrifice,
But maybe I’ll just have to make the sacrifice…
Or maybe I can keep this fake smile on my face,
And continue to hide the truth from you,
And from all who say they care……..
