As the World Dies

When the colors dies so did I
It was sudden and yet delayed
It was both emotional and physical
And yet neither
They slowly faded before my eyes
Yet when I blinked they were gone
I felt it stab a heart long silent
I felt it wake feelings forgotten
My eyes stared in wonder
But I could not watch
It was beautiful
It was hideous
And when it was over
I died silently writhing in pain
Screaming as I went
