Returning
To my family
Wondering
Who has survived.

Returning home
To smiles and hugs
But I do not fell present
For there is more to
The story then
They know

When look in the mirror
I see a murderer
Fierce on top
But innocent
Somewhere
Deep down.

I need
To find that place
Of utopia
That has never existed
For battle scars
And memories
Will haunt me
Forever.

The author's comments:
The war in Iraq, and the men and women who are mental hurt and often get PTSD inspired me to write this peace
