Each surge of energy
pushes my heart to
become bigger, to
become remarkable.

And each electric
shock-wave that
emanates within the
atmosphere sends
my heart shrinking.

Venom poisons
my mind and leads
me to believe that
love does not exist--
does not last.

And as if inspiration
herself sucks out
this gruesome feeling
I stumble upon
an idea.

The idea that there
is life near the end
of every turmoil.
That love can work.

A push that
crashes me into
reality was all
I needed to smile

A simple innocuous
bomb set off in my
mind sending
me into a realm
of a hope--a forgiveness
