Punished.
Again.
I quickly limp upstairs.
Waiting.
Protecting myself.
I’m afraid to make a sound.
My bruised arm hits a wall.
It wants to scream.
Loudly.
I want to hide.
When will all of this be over?
I dream of happy days.
No hitting.
No screaming.
My dreams don’t come true.
Ever.
Can I ask them?
Will they stop?
Do they know how?
Maybe.
I soon wake up.
I soon hear screams.
I’m dreading the todays.
And the tomorrows.
And the next days
