The length of creativity is looped
Twirled and swirled like a malleable string
Entrusted to those with minds like skies
Free to float from cloud to cloud
For those who spread sleep dust to eyes
For the dreamers to doze
Looped and twirled and swirled
Like a cotton candy confectioner
Swiping the last sugary fluff
For the artists waiting to emerge
Or the young minds to spread their arms
And free fall
To make their own crinkled lines in the sky
To move the clouds in their own patterns
And for the first time in a long time
Take a breath and touch their escapes
