Favorite Quote:
Let me spread my wings, then you can fly with me too.

They all gather around
Spying on the secret lives
Lives we pretend we own
Characters of performance

The curtains ascend
Our inner stars explode
At center stage
The audience on their feet
Reveling in us
We bow with grace, charm

Every gesture sends them raving
Inside we relish in their praise
They are us, we are them

The curtains fall
The lights dimmed
Until they fade out

All that remains
A tear-soaked
Mascara blackened handkerchief
Shining crisp, white in darkness
The darkness,
Of our shadows

Everyone has their secrets about who they want to be. Whether it's an actor, an author, or a dancer, once in a while it's you they wish they'd see. That's the main point i wanted to make in this poem.
