I have found
That all one strives for is happiness, the pursuit
The challenge takes a lifetime, but the truth
The truth cannot break you
And the others will forsake you.
That in the morning drugs cannot compare
To the sight of a friend’s light, like Altair
That to go to sleep stripped of your sanity,
Tripped into their vanity,
Leaves you more in midair, than asleep
The more that you weep,
The farther they seep
They abandon you before you can scream
So gather all you’ve learned in this dream
And go to sleep.

I wrote this piece to describe the emotions someone might be faced with when people around them begin to deceive them. The victim in this case feels trapped, isolated, and tired of being tormented so the only option they're left with is sleeping (or blocking them out of their subconscious).
