The Storm
The clouds darken
Above me
The swirling blackness
Consumes the sky
We watch.
Our eyes mesmerized
By natures terrible beauty
White lightening
Streaks the sky
Illuminating the world below
Sheets of rain pound the pavement
Washing away what once was
The storm is mighty.
The king of the heavens
Ruler of the plains beneath
