My Eden
The Black Sand Beach
Lava turned the sand black,
Smoldering for years leaving nothing but scorching sand,
Meeting the dazzling light blue salt sea.
Charring your feet as you race to the cooling water.
Waves breaking on the ebony sand,
Contrast beyond imagination.
Locals look at the raven colored sand and think of the lives lost,
But when I look I see nothing but paradise.
