What They Don't Know
I walk in the class, books in hand and a smile on my face
I feel so tired, but I don't mind.
They all laugh at my old clothes, but i don't mind.
I fall asleep in class because i stayed up all night; the teacher yells at me to stay awake,
but what he don't know is that i stay up all night taking care of my mom.
I protect my sisters from my dad when he wants to beat us. I work two jobs so that i can pay the overdue rent, and get out of the house.
But the only time that i get in the day to relax and think about my life is when i am in bed for a few hours each night.
So go ahead and mock the clothes that i wear and laugh at me because i fall asleep in class, do it because I DON'T CARE!
