The Center of My Heart
The center of my heart is a tornado;
I easily engulf what is in my path.
It is with ease that I love
And sweep up the ones I want into my heart.
The center of my heart is a railroad;
The tracks connect everything that is important.
I can follow it and it will never lead me astray
No matter how far the reaches of my love are.
The center of my heart is a Broadway show
And I play the lead role.
I rely on my cast mates for support and direction;
I hope to always end with a phenomenal finale and my cast by my side.
The center of my heart is a beach.
Just as digging in the sand brings treasures,
The more you dig into my heart the more you find out.
I have deep secrets, but they are worth the time it takes to dig.
The center of my heart is a lighthouse
And it shines upon the ones I love.
It brings people from the depths of their darkness
And it lets them dance in the luminescence I give off.
