Childhood Through a Screen

The static from the screen sounds similar to waves crashing against the shore.
The color reminds me of the pavement I once used to run and play on.
The tiny white dots remind me of stars in the night sky.
If I could make a wish, I'd want to go back to a simpler time.
I turn off the TV and return to reality.

wow! i LOVED IT! the last line really caught my attention: 'I turn off the TV and return to reality'. I don't watch a lot of television for that reason-- its all fake. people need to wake up and take a wish on a star, walk barefoot down the pavement. Enjoy life. five stars.
