You Are A Lion

You are a lion, I think to relate
Mane thick with spirited hair
A golden coat of demanding fur
And thoughtful tail aspiring

You are a lion, I always wonder
Ears stand tall without fail
Enduring paws of hardened souls
And claws that refuse to retract

You are a lion, I never doubt
Hallowed eyes stare intently
As dulling teeth brandish
And a trembling cry resounds

You are a lion, I cannot forget.

I feel as though it's been far too long since i've endulged in reading, or even writing a poem. And even longer since one made me inspired to continue my dreams of writing. This poem was exceptionally visual and seemingly very well thought out. The changes in the first line of every stanza just make the poem that much more interesting. I think this is wonderful and i do intend to see many more from you on here :)
