Christmas
Snow lightly falls outside.
The ground, a snowy blanket,
all windows full of frost.
Houses covered in bright lights,
to show seasonal spirit.
A very restless night,
that night before.
Parents frantically moving about,
and children full of excitement.
As I come downstairs that morning
the sight of a glowing pine tree fills my eyes.
Presents scattered about,
and stockings stuffed full.
The smell of cinnamon buns baking
enchants me as I move closer,
and I grin like old Saint Nick.
There’s nothing like a Christmas morning.
