There was carelessness:
I had been a witness to horrible crimes.
I had done nothing.
I had tried to escape it all.
There was pain:
I was laid across the ground.
I was broken and in pieces.
I was lost to this world.
There was a prayer:
I felt you beside me.
I realized how much you understood.
I understood how much you cared.
There was hope:
I will become stronger beside you.
I will remain loyal.
I will grow with you.
There was trust:
I am a better person.
I am finally smiling.
I am in love with you.
This is happiness.
