Everything stops
The pain begins
It all goes fuzzy
No sirens
It’s funny they usually come faster
Her father screams
Her mother cries
Their little girl alone inside
The Choking Game
Begins again
Just one more round
Until the end
The videos recorded
Are now being rewound
A silent agreement
No one makes a sound
A motionless world
Spinning so fast
Two words she needed to say
She’ll mouth them
Because that’s all she can do
“I’m sorry”
The world she once knew
Was fading fast
All at once
Everything went black
A knock on the door
Tells them all what they needed to hear
She wonders why
But forgot to ask
